Lumos is a nonprofit organization started by J.K. Rowling to rectify the institutionalization of children worldwide. Eight million children worldwide are living in institutions simply because they are poor, disabled, or are from an ethnic minority. Lumos seeks to transform these outdated systems, which drive families apart and deprive children of the love and care they deserve to grow up healthy and happy.
 

 

This redesign was proposed in conjunction with the RISD class "Design for Good."
