"tink knit" is a nonprofit run by students from Brown University and the Rhode Island School of Design. Mothers are given the resources and training to produce a substantial income at home through knitting.

"tink knit" was founded in 2014, and was co-branded in conjunction with another student at Brown University. I served as the Marketing Director in 2015-2016, and the co-president in 2017.

During my time with "tink knit," I was responsible for designing posters (web and print), conceptualizing and actualizing marketing campaigns, taking product photos, and conducting quality checks on all visual materials.

STYLE GUIDE

Brand story

"tink knit," as a brand, prioritizes:

warmth

and

quality

We faced two major hurdles in the early process of conceptualizing "tink knit." As a student facing organization, products have to be affordable. As a social venture, products must be profitable enough to both:
1. Return a sizable income to the mother in our program
2. Cover the operational costs (yarn, looms, transportation, etc)
By crafting a brand that feel both personable and professional, we were able to establish a large presence on campus as a high-quality, high-impact organization with products worth investing in.
