I was hired to conduct a tentative rebranding of the Brown University Department of History in 2017. My supervisor requested a design that was both modern, yet clearly founded in the past. Attempting to rework the official Brown University logo without violating the rules of usage proved to be an exciting challenge. The same went for attempting to redesign the website within the limited budget and the parameters of the standard department template.
